Jason Albert is Deputy General Counsel for Public Policy and Privacy Legal for Workday, a leading cloud provider of enterprise human capital and financial management services. In this role, Albert is responsible for Workday’s global policy and regulatory engagement across a range of issues – including privacy, security, cloud computing, and big data – as well as driving core strategic initiatives.  He also is responsible for privacy legal advice to the company's product, sales, and compliance teams.
 
Prior to joining Workday, Albert spent close to a decade at Microsoft, where he held a number of roles related to intellectual property, compliance, and cloud regulatory policy. Earlier in his career, Albert practiced at Covington & Burling in the firm’s D.C., Brussels, and London offices. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and clerked for Senior Judge Richard L. Williams of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
