Senior policy advisor to the Speaker of the House, The Honorable Nancy Pelosi
Kenneth DeGraff is a senior policy advisor to the Speaker of the House, The Honorable Nancy Pelosi, focusing on energy, technology science issues. In that role, he helped craft agreements on provisions in the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 and 2018 and the 2016 updates to the Toxic Substance Control Act, among other laws. Before joining Leader Pelosi’s staff, he was legislative director to Congressman Mike Doyle, who represents Pittsburgh in the House of Representatives and is now Chairman of the Communications and Internet Subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce Committee. Kenneth managed legislative operations during debate of the Affordable Care Act, the Local Community Radio Act and Do-Not-Call Improvement Act, among others. Prior to serving for Congressman Doyle, he was policy analyst at Consumer Reports. He advocated and testified on several policy areas, including technology, telecommunications, wireless, the Internet, digital rights and more before Congress, the FCC and other state and federal legislative and regulatory bodies. He graduated from Butler University where he was awarded a Truman Scholarship by the federal program to recognize students committed to public service.
